Trying to force myself back into my album. It’s been extremely difficult to find time and energy to devote to this project since I started it. There is a lot left to do, and unfortunately a lot of things to redo. Part of the hold-up is trying to do all the things on my own, my perfectionism, my neurodivergence, the world being on fire… but I need to get it out and I need it to be meaningful. Next steps are to spot check/retrack my bass parts, do the same for my guitar parts, get together charts as needed, and - most importantly - start reaching out to my friends/peers/colleagues for guidance, assistance, and collaboration. Reaching out is the hardest thing to do, because to me it always feels like failure. But more than that, I want to make you guys proud and make something you’ll keep on your playlists/hard-drives forever.

Green Russian Big Muff Pi (Reissue) vs Black Russian Big Muff Pi (Version 7c/7d)
At the time of recording, this is my newest pedal up against the oldest, the first pedal I ever owned. The reissue is great - it’s louder, has more bass, comes stock with a 9v power jack, and actually fits on a pedalboard. The only thing I really miss about my old Big Muff is this lil low-mid notch that gives it the growl that made me fall in love with it. However, considering that I can’t reasonably fit the Black Russian on any board and it’s already pretty beat up, the Green Rookie has found itself a nice spot in the roster.
